christopher danielsTNA Wrestling’s Christopher Daniels recently conducted a interview with Jeff Wilen of The Daytona Beach News-Journal to does a number of topics including when he’ll retire, Claire Lynch storyline and more!

Christopher Daniels on retiring: “As long as I don’t prostitute my principals, I see many, many years of wrestling left,” Daniels said of his future in wrestling. “My goal is to get to 20 years. In January, I will be at 20. I’d love to get 25 or 30. I probably will still be in the business after wrestling, maybe in play-by-play or color commentary. We’ll see. I don’t see an end to my in-ring career yet.”

Christopher Daniels on the Claire Lynch storyline: “It was something they put a lot of time and thought into, almost a year. The history between me and AJ helped, with our careers being so closely intertwined. I think when people think of AJ’s best matches in TNA, my name comes up. AJ’s success, notoriety and popularity really made that stick. No one had ever accused a top performer of something like this. The story line was very Maury Povich. We got “Maury Povich” and “Jerry Springer” chants at the show. When it came time to do the stuff in the ring, it was me and AJ Styles.”

Christopher Daniels on Aces and Eights angle:I’m not really sure where it’s going to go. That particular story line hasn’t involved me a lot. I know our company has sat down and mapped up where it wants to go months ahead of time. The end result will be something months of effort have been put into.”
