Dwayne-JohnsonFuture WWE Hall of Famer and Hollywood mega star Dwayne Johnson underwent successful surgery today to repair three hernia tears he suffered from his match against John Cena three weeks ago at WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey.

As a result of Monday’s surgery, Dwayne Johnson (better known as The Rock) had to miss the L.A premiere for his newest film, “Pain & Gain” according to E! News. The film which co-stars Mark Wahlberg opens in theaters worldwide this Friday.

Dwayne Johnson sent out the following tweet after surgery today:

His publicist Alan Nierob told the Associated Press that he is now recovering at home.

This is the first major injury that the 40 year old entertainer has suffered as it put production on his upcoming film “Hercules” on hold. Hercules is to be directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour). Johnson plays the lead character Hercules as the film is being produced by MGM & Paramount. With so much money at stake and invested on Dwayne Johnson to deliver his star-like power to projects like this and many other films, many within WWE continue to be concerned if Johnson wrestled his last match.

For all of us here at Enfinity1Productions we wish Dwayne Johnson a speedy recovery.
