Green.DayGreen Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is seeking treatment for substance abuse, according to his bandmates in a statement posted on their Facebook page on Sunday.

This just comes two days after Green Day & Billie Joe Armstrong made headlines with a profanity-driven tantrum at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

What set this off was a sign indicating that the band had one minute left on their set Friday night which triggered Armstorng onstage antics. Billie Joe Armstrong accused the festival organizers were cutting his band off and he would end the set by smashing up his guitar saying “Let me show you what one minute fucking means.”

Green Day would release the following statement concerning the incident:

“We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.” “We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.”

Should be noted that just earlier this month Green Day had to cancel a concert in Italy after Billie Joe Armstrong was hospitalized after suffering from dehydration.

Green Day is in the middle of doing promotional work for their new album Uno! which comes out this Tuesday. This is the first of three albums to come from Green Day of new material in the next six months as Dos! and Tre! will follow afterwards.

We here at Enfinity1Productions wish Billy Armstrong a speedy recovery
