Led Zeppelin reunited for Celebration DayLed Zeppelin surviving members bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, guitarist Jimmy Page, and lead signer Robert Plant once again found themselves dodging dodged questions about possible reunion shows when gathering for a press conference to announce Celebration Day, a film of their reunion concert at the London’s O2 Arena in 2007.

Led Zeppelin as always played with the press and looked to be in great form ( with the exception of Pant who looked a bit rough).”Let me ask you a question,” responded Page when first asked about a possible reunion. “Have you seen the film? Did you enjoy it? Then we’ve done our job, haven’t we?”

Robert Plant kept up the evading, rather than flat out denying: When another reporter asked if Zeppelin would “do it again,” the singer replied, “With you?”

Led Zeppelin also spoke about the concert film itself, which features all 16 cuts played at the 2007 concert, a tribute to Ahmet Ertegun, the iconic Atlantic Records head who first signed Zeppelin in 1968. The film will be released to theaters October 17th and will be available on multi-media format for home release on November 19th.

When asked whether any of the live tracks were overdubbed, Page noted that they were kept to a minimum while Plant admitted some of the lyrics at the end of “Kashmir” were edited “because I was running out of steam.”

Filling in for Led Zeppelin on drums is Jason Bonham, son of the late drummer John Bonham. His performance was “absolutely monumental,” Page said. “Nobody else could have done it.”

It wasn’t the first time the younger Bonham had drummed with the group, as Plant noted: “We played with him before, at his wedding,” said the frontman. “But sadly he decided to go to bed at his wedding reception. Because I was a friend of the family from way back, I was the one who had to go to his room and get him out of bed.”
