Spike TV has decided to abruptly cancel TNA Impact Wrestling Rewind after it’s Series Premiere last week. This episode aired one hour prior to a new episode of TNA Impact Wrestling as the show emphasized on recapping what all transpired in previous weeks. This was part of a TNA three-hour programming block. It’s being reported that the first episode only did 0.2 cable rating.

This news just comes after Direct TV dropped 26 Viacom channels which included Spike TV as TNA Impact Wrestling saw a sudden decline in viewership with its post Destination X episode that scored a .80 cable rating. In other TNA Wrestling news, Spike TV will keep TNA Impact Wrestling in its current time slot and live status until the 13 week period concludes.

Lee Sanders Analysis: Very unfortunate news here as the show seemed very promising but once again here’s a case of TNA not doing enough advertising early to plug this new show that honestly came out thin air! Quietly this episode popped up just days before it’s premiere with only a one time mention on Impact Wrestling prior. It really doesn’t matter if the cable rating are accurate or not. If the show was pulled from Spike Tv lineup then it must’ve been that bad! Hopefully the show can continue on as a YouTube exclusive as it shows potential especially if it’s tweaked here and there.
