Hey folks and welcome to another edition of WWE Raw Supershow Recap & Review! Hard to believe it but we are just two weeks away from the biggest PPV of all time, WrestleMania XXVIII from Miami, Florida. It is truly going to be down there in Miami but tonights Raw Supershow at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia was hot as well as the show kicks off with the WWE Champion CM Punk!

CM Punk had a lot to get off his chest tonight as he made a very passionate speech about the actions of a Chris Jericho last week. Jericho said on last week’s Raw that Punk’s father was a drunk failure as he battled alcholism for many years and that it would be CM Punk’s destiny to face the same fate. CM Punk toled the wrestling fans that he was glad that Jericho wasn’t in the WWE arena tonight as there was no telling what he’d do to the man if he was there. He promises that come WrestleMania he will prove once and for all that why he is the best in the world!

From there CM Punk’s music hit and he was starting to make his way out of the ring when Chris Jericho appeared on the titantron live via satellite. Jericho wasn’t there in Philadelhia because he was off tapping a episode of Jimmy Fallon. Chris Jericho informed the WWE champion that he was sorry for what he said about his dad and that it was territory he shouldn’tve crossed. He went on to say that he would never mention his father on television again. Very heartfelt and classy words from the future hall of famer. “However, your sister…Well that’s a whole other ball game isn’t it?”, Chris Jericho said as the fans began to get excited! Jericho accused Punk’s sister of being a drug adict and how it is well documented and that this type of behavoir runs in Punks family. That this type of dysfunction also runs in the champions veins and that he can’t escape his destiny of being a drunk & drugged up failure just like his father and sister! CM Punk would then grab the microphone and begin to spew a ton of censored words that we unforunatley aren’t able to hear but promised that he would beat the living hell out of him at WrestleMania to end this very heated segment.

In a WWE.COM Exclusive cameras caught up with Jericho to get more insight about what he said about CM Punk. The following is the Q & A:

Q: Ok Chris you admited yourself that Punk’s alchoholism crossed the line. To you why is Punk’s family fair game and continue to be?

A: That’s probably one of the dumbest questions asked in my entire life. Do you understand what WrestleMania means to me? What WrestleMania means to this company in this business? It is the biggest show of the year, it’s where careers are made. It’s where you can live forever! It’s where you can become immortal. When I beat CM Punk and become WWE champion for the 7th time, I’ll have done something that only a select few have done. Do you understand what I am saying to you right now? Therefore, all is fair, this is war! This isn’t dancing, this isn’t a game, this isn’t playing with your kids in the living room after a nice big dinner, this is real! And all I’m doing is bring up the truth. I’m not lying, I’m not saying anything that other people don’t know, that other people haven’t heard. If it gets under Punk’s skin and throws him off his game a bit well it just proves that I exactly what I say I am and always been…the best in the world at everything I do in every and any way possible.

Q: So you’re saying that there’s nothing you won’t do to get to Punk’s head?

A: I’m saying I’ll do what ever i have to do to get inside Punk’s head. Like I said all i’m doing is telling the truth. It’s never crossing the line if you’re telling the truth.

Match 1: Big Show vs Kane

This truly should’ve been a classic bout but wouldn’t come to be as Big Show became distracted by the antics of one Cody Rhodes who made his present felt early in this match. First it was the mind games as Cody showed a video footage of Big Show’s embarrassing WrestleMania moments. From there cody Rhodes would grab the arm of the Big Show as he climbed to the top turnbuckle, possibly looking to deliver a elbow drop to Kane as he was stretched out on the canvas. This gave the Big Red monster enough time to catch a breather and deliver a Chokeslam From Hell off the top turnbuckle to end this match rater quickly.

Winner of the match: Kane

Post-match Cody Rhodes would deliver a brutal Disaster Kick to Big Show followed by handcuffing him to the ropes and delivering a flurry of punches while wearing boxing gloves, paying possible homage to Mike Tyson & Floyd Mayweather knocked out Big Show at WrestleMania XXIV. Officals and referees came to put an end to this but the damage was already done as The World’s Largest Athlete was furious over the insulting beatdown from the Intercontinental Champion with revenge on his mind.

Match 2: Non Title match David Otunga vs. United States Chamipion Santino Marella

This match was very brief and entertaining as Santino & Otugna traded muscle poses for a few minutes. Despite all the chuckles, when it came down to business Santino would come up short as the U.S champion failed victim to Otugna in a upset victory. Mr. Laurinaitis at one point came up on the apron and tried to distract Santino which worked as the U.S champ grabbed Johnny’s phone and proceeded to break it in the ring. This was enough of a distraction and time needed for Otugna to get the win.

Post-match, Interim Raw GM John Laurinaitis mocked Santino’s victory dance which caused the Smackdown Teddy Long to act by knocking by smacking him in the face before storming off the the back.

From there a vignette is shown teasing a wrestler by the name of ‘Lord Tensai’ who’ll be coming very soon.

In yet another pre tapped segment from earlier, The Rock is filmed in front of the Rock Balboa statue and talks about how inspired he was of the stature hovering above him. The Rock then proceeded to give a speech on all his memoriable opponents over the years, his WrestleMania opponents and talks about how he must conquer John Cena and add him to that last of memories and pay homage to the legends of the past when he faces Cena April 1st at WrestleMania XXVIII. He also promised that he was going to deliver a powerful message to Cena face to face later that night!

Match 3: Non-Tile match World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Zack Ryder

In what was a squash match that ended in seconds this match really did nothing for either men. Zack Ryder looked very weak and din’t do a good job selling Daniel Bryan’s LeBelle Lock as it wasn’t even applied properly before the Long Island Ice Tea tapped out! Now it should be noted that earlier in the day Zack Ryder tried to start a rally out front of the arena just before Raw went on the air to get enough signatures and fans to support him in his quest to become a member of Teddy Long’s team. His campagin is not kicking off to a good start with this defeat. Maybe he will have better luck on this Friday’s WWE Smackdown!

Winner of the match: Daniel Bryan

Match 4: Mark Henry vs. John Cena

Intresting development here with John Cena as he’s making his way to the arena that he was apparently involved in a car accident earlier in the day. This news first broke by TMZ but as we were able to see John Cena is just fine. Mark Henry didn’t seem to care what type of physical condition Cena was in as he looked very dominating and as relentless in his attacks on the Cenation leader. Knowing possibly that The Rock was watching in the back and with WrestleMania just around the corner, John Cena came back and won in true fashion as he was able to put the 400 lb Worlds Strongest Man over his shoulders and deiver the Attitude Adjustment to pick up the victory!

Winner of the match: John Cena

Post-match John Cena would not celebrate to long as The Rock would make an impromptu appearance and get face to face with John Cena. He stared him down for a few seconds before grabbing Mark Henry and putting him in The Rock Bottom! Message sent loud and clear as The Rock would soon after leave the ring and head to the back as John Cena looked in awe.

Match 5: Sheamus vs. The Miz

The Miz talked a real good game as always and put up one hell of a match against the Great White Sheamus, all while telling the crowd how much of a travestry it is that he’s not having a match at WrestleMania. Miz would once again try to jocky himself in the position of being in the eyes of John Laurinaitis by winning his match against Sheamus and earning a spot on Team Johnny to take on Teddy Long’s team. Tonight everything backfired as Sheamus would go on to win with one ugly and powerful Brogue Kick.

Winner of the match: Sheamus

Match 6: Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth

It was annouced during the match that Dolph Ziggler & JAck Swagger would be joining Team Johnny. Great tag team action here that saw Hours after being named Ziggler and Swagger focus on Kingston at one opint during the match as he was in the corner and attack with double-team maneuvers. R-Truth did better in the ring when it was his time get in but once again it’s all bout the type of manager one has as Vickie Guerrero would help her clients secure the win for Ziggler & Swagger.

Winners of the match: Jack Swagger & Dolph Ziggler

Post-match Aksana & Guerrero got into some heated words before roughing up one another and rolling all around the floor. It was looking very intense between these two women as the respected tag teams would break up the women.

As cocky and arrogant as he wants to be, HBK Shawn Michaels let it be known how everyone is talking about his involvement in the “End Of An Era” Hell in a Cell match. He would go on to say that he’s going to steal the show once again.

Undertaker came out next and advised HBK that it needs to be his duty to make sure that this match is pure. That the end results of this match good or bad is of purity. He promised that if Shawn doesn’t make things right in this match that it will be the end of him as riple H soon joined the discussuion. The Game said he knows exactly what it takes to end Undertaker’s career inside Hell in a Cell and mentioned how the two men have appeared in 19 of 24 Hell in a Cell matches. Triple H would go on to say that this isn’t a coindence as Undertaker used the match to set a standard while Triple H used the type of match as a mesauring stick. The Deadman questioned whether Triple H is willing to do absolutley whatever is neccseary to get the job done even if it means his life. Triple H remaining ever so confident delcaired that he is going to go all the way. From there all three men are looking at one another in silence for seconds but it felt like an eternity.
Undertaker finally decided to make his way out of the ring but before doing so he looked at them and said the following to Triple H:

“Remember when I said Shawn was better than you? … He is.”

After walking out of the ring Triple stood in the ring furious as Shawn Michaels looked on smirking but quickly removed it when Triple H looked at him. Hunter would then go back to looking at the Deadman as HBK continued smirking as WWE Raw Supershow comes to end.

Overall WWE Raw wasn’t as intense as the previous week’s episodes but still had just enough sizzle to keep one entertained. There was so many things going on in this episode that sometimes it could be a bit difficult to keep up as we’re being pulled in so many diffrent directions. To top it all off we get this video promo of a new wrestler that’s going to be coming very soon. I kind of question the hype for this as many people are more focused on the WresleMania matches and with only two weeks to go until the biggest PPV of the year, it’s just odd that they would begin to plug someone new. This really should’ve been held off until the night after WrestleMania as it made more sense because once after WrestleMania is over usually it’s pretty quiet and remains so until the SummerSlam PPV. Also it is very nice to finally see Beth Phoniex is going to have a match at WrestleMania but for it to be a celbrity match against Extra TV host Maria Menounos just really has me scratching my head. I would’ve perfered to not see a Divas match at all appear at WrestleMania so that more time can be given to the matches that really matter. High point for me is the CM Punk and Chris Jericho segment followed by Cody Rhodes, Big Show & Kane. Low point would have to be The Rock’s pre taped segment. I’ll be covering Raw extensively on the Tuesday edition of THE RCWR SHOW so check it out. In the meantime for this week I have to give WWE Raw Supershow a 8 out of 10. Well that will do it for now but do follow us on our Facebook Page & our Twitter page for more highlights & more. Thanks for taking the time to read this edition of the WWE Raw Supershow Recap & Review!
